Mechline awarded Supplier of the Year for Sustainability

Mechline Developments has been awarded Supplier of the Year for Sustainability in the 2020 Kitchen & Equipment Awards Week, for its suite of products to manage the increasing environmental concerns of the industry, including for food waste and hygiene.

This year, due to COVID-19, Catering Insight and FEJ combined their respective award ceremonies to create a joint, one-off, special digital event, to shine a light on the industry’s achievements. And in rather unique fashion, Mechline was announced as the winner of the sustainability award via a live YouTube stream.

This year Mechline launched the HyGenikx air and surface sanitiser range into the UK foodservice industry and extended its line-up of BaSix hand wash stations with an all new range of space-saving, mobile, hands-free basins.

HyGenikx was developed to improve hygiene standards to levels impossible to maintain with traditional cleaning methods, but also to extend the life and quality of fresh-perishable food, which can significantly reduce food waste and cost and prevents food waste from going to landfill.

The New Mobile hands-free basins have water-saving technology incorporated, to provide unique water saving benefits for the end-user. All basins in the mobile range come with a water saving spray pattern spout and the completely portable ‘X’ model has an ultra water-saving diffuser supplied too – to facilitate handwashing in any location and double the washes per litre of any comparable product on the market!

Other Mechline solutions include its eco-friendly FOG management systems, GreasePak and BioCeptor; the food waste bio-digester, Waste2O; and an array of water-saving taps, pre-rinses and hand wash basins.
