2016 sees a deadline for BIM in the hospitality and foodservice industry to get on board with BIM. UK Government legislation requires all public-funded projects to be executed with BIM (Building Information Modelling) software.
Mechline has been hard at it producing simple BIM models of catering equipment including our GreasePak (drain maintenance system), Waste20 (food waste bio-digester), fly killers, QuickLink and gas connectors and our range of AquaJet pre-rinse sprays and taps. The details in each BIM file include all the electronic need-to-know information, dimensions to flow rates and much more.
Kristian Roberts, Marketing Manager comments; ‘We are pleased to be BIM compliant. Creating these files will enable the right information to be quickly and efficiently shared with those who need it. We would all like to see the most functional, efficient kitchens designed and created across the UK, we hope that BIM is a step further towards making the process of achieving this everytime.”
The BIM models can be found on our website in the Downloads section.
