Many people in our industry have been through enormous upheaval the last few years, and the related stress has taken its toll. With this in mind, instead of sending Christmas cards, we wanted to support Hospitality Action who support both the physical and mental wellbeing of people in our industry.
Hospitality Action was one of the first grant-making charities to react during the pandemic, with measures like financial support and mental health services. Services which are still needed today.
In 2020 they awarded a record 4,698 grants and increased the number of households they supported by 106%. They answered over 6000 calls (versus a usual 500) and setup an online Wellbeing Hub with lots of helpful resources. This is all on top of their usual outreach and assistance programmes.
We think the work of Hospitality Action is nothing short of incredible and are proud to support them for the second year running.
