The AquaJet 50, AJPR50,
has won the 2008 Catering Equipment & Supplies Excellence
Awards, for its category. We are pleased that our industry
peers, who form the distinguished panel of judges, recognise
our AquaJet 50 for its innovative design and application
for use as either a robust pre-rinse spray unit or as a
food prep spray, when fitted to a potable water supply.

portfolio have been recognised by this prestigious, industry-related
equipment competition. Thank you to all involved for making
this possible.
GreasePaK has earned another award! GreasePaK won the Horecava
Innovation Award 2008 in the Equipment category. In the
attached photo,
our Dutch partner, Pieter W. de Graaff of VETAFSCHEIDERS.NL,
is seen receiving the award from the Dutch Minister of Economic
Affairs, Mrs Verhoeven.
Hotelympia 2008 is planned for 17-21 February and Mechline

Good News for GreasePaK!
Out of a total of 150 products in 4 categories for the 2008
Horecava Innovation Awards, GreasePaK
is in the final group with three other competitors in the
category for equipment. Winners will be announced on Monday,
January 7th. We are pleased our partners in Holland, VETAFSCHEIDERS.NL,
entered GreasePaK in
the competition and we look forward to hearing the results
next year. Good luck!

For the second year, Mechline is honoured

GIS Product Update:
HSE has issued a statement regarding GIS
units and override features via catering information sheets
(CAIS). The updated CAIS 23 requires all interlock systems
have NO override. (To see the latest in Health & Safety for
the catering industry, see the Health
and safety in catering and hospitality page) Therefore,
any products offering a timed override or manual override
are obsolete. In reaction to this mandate, Mechline has discontinued
offering its models with override features. To help operators
ensure reliability of service, Mechline can recommend fitting
its Fan
Power Sensor. Or consider using M-G02, M-G02R, M-G03 or
M-G03R models. The new GIS units offer the same functionality
of override units but comply witht he CAIS 23 recommendations.

GreasePaK
DMi is a biological drain maintenance system designed to work
with GreasePaK MSGD5 fluid
– a highly concentrated active bio-enzymatic fluid formulated
to degrade and remove fats, oils and greases found in commercial
kitchen drains. It can be used with a grease trap or as a
standalone drain maintenance system to help operators meet
regulations and maintain clear drains free of odours.
Battery powered, it does not require a water
or electrical connection and can be installed in almost any
location. Bag-in-box GreasePaK
MSGD5 fluid is lightweight and easy to handle. Simply slip
replacement boxes into the wall-mounted GreasePaK module;
there is no need for engineers to attend and service. Additionally,
GreasePaK takes up no valuable
floor space and does not get in the way of kitchen staff.
Simple to operate and refill, it is a safe and manageable
product.
Last year, Mechline's
Delabie Tempomatic 3, a unique battery-operated, hands-free
tap, was a finalist in the 2005 competition and the Mo-El
Insectivoro won for its category. Mechline's goal is to continue

Our Summer newsletter.
Over the last few months, Mechline GreasePaK
has been chosen by more and more businesses to clear their
commerical kitchen drains of fats, oils and grease. GreasePaK
eliminates foul odours and the risk of insect and rat infestations
in an ecologically friendly manner without requiring extra
service or maintenance.
It can be used alone or with grease traps.
