GreasePaK by Mechline, Winner of Excellence in Catering Equipment & Supplies Awards, 2006

GreasePaK DMi Dispensing unit Location advice

Important: GreasePaK is a drain maintenance system, not a drain unblocking system. Existing drains must be cleaned and pressure washed prior to installation of GreasePaK. Failure to do so could result in dislodged fat and grease blocking the drains further downstream.

GreasePaK can be used to prevent grease build up at a particular point in a drainage system or in a drain line. It may therefore be necessary to install more than one GreasePaK DMi in a kitchen if multiple grease areas are identified. Fit the DMi at a sensible working height. Between 1200-1500 AFFL is recommended. GreasePaK can either be used in conjonction with a greasetrap or as a stand alone effective means of fats, oils and grease removal and drain maintenance. If used in conjunction with a grease trap, the grease trap will still require regular emptying of solids.

GreasePaK works by regularly dosing highly active GreasePaK bio-enzymatic fluid into the drainage system. Failure to follow these guidelines could result in poor product performance. Install DMi in a visible location.

Example 1:Install dosing points a minimum of 2m away from sources of harsh chemicals or excessive heat in the drain such as dishwashers, combination ovens or waste disposal units. If installed downstream from a water softener, ensure softener regeneration occurs prior to GreasePaK dosing time each night.

Example 2:

If treating a grease trap fitted into the kitchen, connect the dosing point as close to the grease trap inlet as possible.

Example 3:

If treating a drainage system or grease trap which is sited outside of the kitchen, connect the dosing point as close as possible to where the drain leaves the kitchen.
