For Models M-G03 and M-G03R
Lights for fans 1 & 2 are flashing
continuously, but the interlock seems to be working fine.
What's wrong?
If installing one of the M-G03 models, be
sure that two (2) sensors are connected for each fan. If only
one is connected, the GIS panel thinks that a sensor has failed
and the lights will flash. If you prefer to use one (1) sensor
per fan, then choose model M-G02 or M-G02R.
Adding a Remote Emergency Cut off Switch
to a G02R or G03R
If you were to simply wire two switches into
the terminal block, it would only cut off if BOTH switches
were activated. To ensure that either switch can turn off
the gas they need to be connected in series.

M-G01 FAQ Information:
In case of break down with M-G01
models, follow these steps:
1. Is A or C solid red?
- If so Fan 1 or Fan 2 failed – check if any pressure
in hood and Fans are working.
- Check Air Sensor nozzles on tubes, fitted to Ductwork,
are not blocked – Engineer procedure.
- Or, check the tube from Differential Switch to duct
is not blocked or disconnected.
2. Is B flashing green?
- Press Start/Stop button to release gas flow.
3. Is A or C flashing red?
- Reset emergency stop button.
4. If the GIS has an Override fitted,
then for temporary work, if the Kitchen Operation is deemed
Safe by a qualified engineer, the engineer may advise on the
use of the Override facility.
THIS IS
FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY, and must not be used continuously.
If the GIS has actuated, then there is a reason for it. A
qualified engineer’s attendance to address the cause / issue
is essential. With the GIS running on override, the
kitchen is at risk.

At Mechline, we pride ourselves on the quality
of our products. With the benefit of many years experience,
we recognise that the catering equipment industry requires
high-quality, durable products at the best possible value.
In order to deliver this to you, we invest heavily in research
and development, quality control and in individual product
testing prior to despatch.
This policy prevents defective products from
being despatched to our customers, and means that we have
no need to carry the overhead of service engineers, or add
engineer costs to our products. Please bear this in mind when
specifying the Mechline Gas Interlock System.
If on-site emergency call-out cover is required, it is
not the responsibility of Mechline Developments Ltd to provide
this.
Given the nature
of the GIS system being interfaced with a number
of different control mechanisms, it is highly advisable that
you have or provide an emergency contact number to your client
for your service / installation engineer, or advise your client
of alternative backup procedures in the event of product activation
or operational difficulties.
It is the Customer’s
responsibility to determine the suitability of the GIS system
for the application.
